How did you meet your significant other?
That’s such a beautiful memory. Those were golden days. We used to work in the same company but in different departments. When I first saw her, I felt attracted to her. In the office, there was a pool table in the game area, which we used to play after lunch, and her desk was close to that area. I used to wait to play and see her. She was always serious and involved in her work.
Actually, I moved closer to the office from my earlier residence in Mumbai to save on commute time and joined a couple of friends as roommates. At the new location, on the first day, she was in a cab, and this was something I never imagined. That’s how the law of attraction works.
From there, our relationship started. There was a practice of calling the next cabmate before the driver picked them up. That’s how we got our numbers exchanged. Sometimes I used to call her to get ready for the cab, and sometimes she called me, depending on the cab’s route.
Those were the times of SMSs, no WhatsApp or Facebook. The only social media at that time was Orkut. Our relationship flourished through those brief cab rides and the SMS messages we exchanged. Now she is my wife, and we miss those days.
