The second day of our boys’ trip is complete now, as we lie in our beds thinking about the hike tomorrow.
Today our day started in Ouray, also known as the Switzerland of America, with Via Ferrata through Basecamp Ouray, and it was just fantastic. After we were done with that, we had our lunch in a nice rooftop Thai restaurant – Thai Chili with such great food and atmosphere.
After that, we drove the million-dollar highway to see the lush mountains and scenic views. That took most of the time, and at the end of it, covered the Cascade falls through a small hike.
We came back to our hostel, took a hot tub and a shower, and went back to Telluride for dinner. We roamed around the city and then had dinner at a Mexican restaurant- La Cocina.
The day was productive and satisfying. Now we have a 9-mile hike tomorrow morning. Let’s see how that goes.
