Last month, we participated in the heart walk to support families affected by heart disease and to celebrate survivors. We always love to participate in such events. Such events are for showing support for survivors, having fun with friends and family, and taking care of your health.
We also invited our friends to do this 5K walk. The event was to raise awareness about heart-related issues, and there were many activities before the walk.

The walk was supposed to start at 9:15 AM, but the event didn’t start until 8 AM. There were event sponsors with their booths, a specific area for the survivors, and a tent for those who had raised funds.
There were lots of goodies and activities to keep kids engaged: face painting, balloon art, a make-your-own decorated drum, and a wheel of luck.
People were everywhere collecting the goodies. When the survivors were called onto the stage, the anthem was played, and they were photographed. The walk started very late, around 9:30 AM, and by then it had become very hot. A few of our friends were thinking of skipping the walk and letting their kids play in the nearby park, but we decided to go.

Before the walk, Aayansh did the face painting, and this time he chose Snake. He was so happy. The next thing he spent time on was creating and decorating his drum.

There were two routes – 1 mile and 3 miles. The starting point was the same, and then at a common point, the route diverged; we stayed on the 3-mile route. The route itself is very scenic, and there are lots of activities for the kids along the way.

Aayansh walked almost a mile by himself, then used the stroller my friend was carrying for his kids. Almost at the end, I took him on my shoulders. We reached the finish line in style, and Aayansh walked those last steps.

From there, we all went to the Hindu temple for lunch. Overall, it was a great morning for a good cause.
Keep Reading! Happy Traveling!!!
